Swan Lake Blog Hop

Welcome to my first blog hop!

A blog hop is a group of people who create a project based on a theme or product. Our product is the Swan Lake paper pack from CTMH. If you like any of the projects you see along this hop contact your current CTMH consultant to order your supplies today, if you do not have a CTMH consultant and are in Canada, I would be happy to help you out. If your not in Canada I can contact one of our fabulous consultants in your area if you are in the US, Australia, or New Zealand

If you came to me from the very talented Michelle Stewart you are right where you need to be. I am next! I created this card to give to my mother in law as a thank you for all the hard work she always puts into our family Thanksgiving dinners.

We really hope that you will share your thoughts with us via the comments section. I personally love to get feedback on what you think of my work and any questions you have on products, projects, techniques or promotions that I post. Please consider sharing your feedback with the others in this hop!

Next stop on the hop, if your going in order would be with Sheena Brooks. In case you missed anyone, here is the complete list of who is playing along:

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy what we have come up with for the Swan Lake blog hop. Stick close though, I have just started playing with Swan Lake and will have much more to come!

Until next time, happy crafting!

Super Star - H2H Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian visitors!

Today I bring a layout for the Heart 2 Heart challenges and the theme this week is Perfect 10! Your project can be anything as long as 10 is somehow represented in it.

This is a layout I did for my last workshop and it has 10 stars on it. The papers are from Florence and the title was cut out using my Silhouette, I do not recall the fonts I used, sorry!

I hope you like my project and to see more great projects, head on over to H2H challenges and see what the rest of the design team has put together for the Perfect 10 challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and until next time, happy crafting!

Happy Birthday! - AHSC #180

Hello! I have been crafty this week! This is my third card of the week and so far my technology is playing somewhat nice and letting me get things posted!

Here is the card I did for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this week, we are at #180 already....WOWZERS!

I did this card and will feature it at my upcoming Jeepers Creepers workshop. I love these colours and the little monsters are just to cute for words. I added some shimmer to him by using our new shimmer pen, oh I am in love with this product, you will be seeing it A LOT!

Here is a close up of the the little monster, lets call him Dutch! Dutch is still looking a bit white and milky looking because the shimmer was still drying (had a window of opportunity to get the kids showered and in bed, you go before the meltdowns start!) I have included it to give a close up of the shimmer, it does dry clear, not milky like this. I also added a drop of liquid glass to Dutch's eyes to make them pop a bit. I really love this little guy, he is just so stinking cute!

Here is the sketch for those that want to play along, and I would love to have you play along!

So there you go, there is the sketch and as you can see I mixed things up a bit. The sentiment would not show on the busy paper so I moved it and Dutch is just to large for life so he is exploding off his spot! The sketch is a guideline a starting point, use it exactly or alter it a bit to meet your projects needs and share them with us, we would love to see it!

Thanks for stopping by, and until next time....happy crafting!

Gratitude - BTF challenges

Today at BTF challenges we bring you the challenge of advanced stamping. I am not 100% sure what is considered an advanced stamping technique so I just played around and got super inky fingers.

I used the September SOTM and first I stamped the image on the leaves with the versa mark and then heat embossed in gold. After that I started with saffron and sponged on the ink and then added Autumn Terracotta (retired) and Barn Red (also retired) to provide the change colour affect on the leaves. I was going to use a patterned paper on this card but I really loved the simplicity the background with the colours on the leaves.

We hope you are able to carve out some time this week in your scrap space to play along with us.  We would love to see your creative stamping projects!

All submissions must have some Close To My Heart product on it and if the CTMH product you used isn't obvious, let us know what you used.  Please see the right side bar to read all the rules for submitting to our challenge.

You have until 11:55 p.m. Eastern on Monday, October 10, 2016 to participate in this challenge.

Please make sure to come visit us again on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 to check out our next Bi-Weekly Challenge.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Monday, October 03, 2016

Hello...Happy Monday!

Today I am bringing you a project from H2H Challenges. The theme over at H2H this week is Uptown.  What is uptown...it could be a night on the town, Uptown Girl by Billy Joel, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, it could the City Scapes papers or what ever you think of when you think of Uptown.

I really struggled with this challenge, not going to lie. When I think uptown I think classy so I pulled out the Happy Times, the gold tones in this give me the feel of uptown, classy and chic.

Products used:

- Happy Times (retired)
- White Daisy card stock

 - Black

- Life is sweeter

- Gold Shimmer Trim
- Gold Sequins

Thanks for stopping by and looking. We would love to have you play along with Heart 2 Heart (H2H)!

Until next time, happy crafting!
